After The Boys Of Summer Have Gone

Ohmygosh California is now my fave vacation spot ever!!! It's soooo beautiful out there. I'd love to live there but of course a tiny little house is like $2 Million. Go figure.

I meant to write in here earlier but I've been putting off uploading my pictures. Looks like they're not getting uploaded, at least not for awhile, because our computer is lacking in memory. We don't want to mess it up.

Anyways, it was a pretty eventful vaca. Lots of cute/hot guys, lol. There was this one dude that Brooke and me nicknamed "Phone Boy" because he was always walking outside the hotel on a cell pretending to be talking, yet he never said a word for like hours. We wanted to talk to him but never got a chance because Wanda, my mom, Todd, and Alex were always sitting out on the balcony spying on us. I hated it.

Okay, so here's the agenda:

Saturday:  Flew out to California at like 6 pm but because of the time change got there at about 8 pm. Yes, a 5-hour flight. Ugh. We ate at Jack in the Box that night and I hope I never ever have to eat at one of those effing places ever again!!!

Sunday:  We just kind of hung around the hotel that evening after going to the beach. It was really, really nice! The water was kind of cold but the waves are insane. I like the Pacific better than the Atlantic. Oh yeah, I lost my sunglasses in the ocean. Good thing I have 2 pairs.

Monday:  Went to Sea World. Everyone got sunburned during the Shamu show. I didn't really care much for Sea World. I prefer theme parks with lots of rides instead of a zoo-like atmosphere. Todd got pissed because the penguins weren't open.

Tuesday:  There was a San Diego Wild Animal Park so we went to that one day. It was really nice. Actually, as good as the zoo if not better. There was this amazingly gorgeous guy that sat infront of us on the tour. He had this sweet Love tattoo on his wrist. Yeah, I paid more attention to him than the animals, lol. Todd was pissed yet again because the tigers were closed.

Wednesday:  LA!  I actually wasn't that impressed with Los Angeles since I've been to New York. I mean, it's nice but I think NY is way cleaner and just nicer overall. We didn't see any celebrities. But that night when we came back to the hotel Bo Derek was shooting a soap opera at our hotel's pool. Sometime around Wed. I lost my navy blue flip-flops in the hotel, lol. I got a super-sweet Breakfast Club poster and Charmmy Kitty iPod case.

Thursday:  Lazy day. We all went to the beach again. Of course, Brooke and me were the only ones to ever go in the water. There's so much freaking seaweed in that ocean though. I swear it was clinging to me on purpose!!!

Friday:  We went to the San Diego Zoo. Thank God there was a bus tour that covered like 75% of the exhibits so we didn't have to walk. That zoo is really, really nice. It makes The National Zoo look pitiful. And I got to see Koalas!!! Yay! There were some men at this stand in the gift shop selling hand-made jewelry so I got a cute little panda necklace. Oh, that night at Chili's Brooke prepared a container of food for some homeless guy.

Saturday:  Had to wake up at like 5 am to catch our insanely early flight to get back home. We were eating McDonald's at like 6 am. Sorry, but I don't function before at least 10. I was happy to see Lexi again and Nanny but it was really depressing to leave.

I swear California is obsessed with Denny's. There's one on every effing corner. But seriously, Cali is so gorgeous. Everyone agreed that it was the prettiest place we've ever been. The weather is perfect. It's sunny but cool enough that you're not sweating. The hotel was nice too. We had an ocean view and there was a sandy little play area that I liked to sit at when it was dark. I should've hid away or something so I didn't have to come back, lol.

Blah, last week sucked because my grandmother was in the hospital getting her left knee replaced. She got the right one done last summer. Anyways, it went perfect this time around because she had some complications last year. She's been home since Friday afternoon. I figured it would be more of a hassle dealing with her but she's been doing okay. Lexi's scared of her walker, lol.

Yesterday my mom and I went shopping and I got a totally cute hoodie. I can't wait to wear it! Then we got some shoes at Target. I love both pairs. Today we went to Kohl's and I got some cute jewelry and another metal sign for my bedroom wall. It's hot pink and says "Mood Swings Ahead". My mom thought it was pretty funny--and perfect for me.

Even though I don't go to public school, this is like my Back-to-School shopping period. I mean, everyone needs some new clothes no matter what.

Well, I'm off to browse the lovely web. And jam to Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguleria. It's a sucky radio remix though.

California Here We Come

Oh my God! I can't believe I'm leaving for the airport in a little over 12 hours!!! I'm so excited! I'm finally going to California.

James finally went home from the hospital today. Social services isn't completely off their case but they're backing off a little. Kim was in an argument with some social worker and she mentioned 'her lawyer' so the lady's eyes got real big. Like, what? Did she seriously think Kim and Ed wouldn't consider bringing this to court if they didn't leave them be?

So anyways, they still haven't said what caused the bleeding. Hopefully it was just a freak thing and it doesn't happen again. If that were to be the case then Kim and Ed would definitely have James taken away from them no matter a lack of proof of abuse. I doubt it's some medical mystery but the doctors are sticking up for each other. Everyone thinks it happened during birth when they used the forceps because his head was all mangled up.

Ahhhhhh! I'm going to California!!!

Love Makes the World Go 'Round

First off I have to say Kelly Clarkson totally rocked!!! She gave an amazing performance and I respect her even more now! (if that's possible, lol.) I got this sweet t-shirt and a sticker. Brooke got a shirt too even though Wanda told her it was either the Tim and Faith concert or Kelly's. I knew she'd get one though. She always manages to, lol. Yeah, Brooke. I know you read this. But hey, I'm complimenting you! I don't have that charm.

Okay, so anyways. My cousin, James, is in the hospital. He's not even a year old. I don't know for sure what happened, well, nobody does really, but his head swelled up real big and Kim took him to the doctor. They said he had a bunch of dried blood blocked up in there so a bunch of tests had to be run and all this bullshit. Social services had to investigate of course because you never know about the assholes in this world. I hate them prodding around but they had to make sure it wasn't shaken baby syndrome or other abuse. Cindy is in break-down mode and I can't imagine how Kim is feeling. Ed's been pretty good though except for one night Kim said she couldn't get him together because he finally lost it.

Ah, I feel so terrible. Of course, Wanda, my mom, and Nanny are all emotional about it and I haven't had children so I can't be in their shoes. It sucks because I feel like a numb little brat. They're supposed to do this surgery where they put little tubes in his head to drain out the blood tomorrow. Please, God, let it go well.

I can't believe California is in less than 2 weeks!!! I'm so excited but I'm not looking forward to the 5-hour flight. This will be the farthest place I've ever visited from Virginia. I'm hoping that I get to actually leave the country in the next few years!

I Just Wanna Get My Way && Rock This World

The Soul2Sour tour was amazing!!! Faith Hill was perfect. I didn't really like her outfit but her voice was incredible. Unfortunately, Tim McGraw was sick so he only sang like a few lines of his song and then would let the audience sing the rest. That shows how huge he is though because people still stood up and cheered for him. Some total Jackass behind us was like, "Come on, MotherF***er sing!" I'd like to see him sing with a bad cold.

I didn't buy a t-shirt because I'm waiting for the Addicted tour on Thursday. I can not wait to see Kelly Clarkson! She's my freaking idol. I'm not being cliche because she was voted American Idol, either. My mom got a shirt, Brooke got a shirt, Wanda got a bracelet, and I got a bracelet. They're the bracelets made out of baseballs to benefit Tim's father's cancer. He died like 2 years ago so the bracelets benefit that particular cancer. They were only $5 too.

So anyways, there was this really creepy guy in DC that we got stuck with while we were waiting at a crosswalk. He was mumbling on about jay-walking and Wanda was trying to get Brooke to scoot over closer to her. I think he was just one of those people that happen to look unappealing at first glance because he didn't seem like a weirdo after that.

I used to love DC but now that I've been to New York City, there's no comparison. DC is like a cheap version of New York. At least New York is alive. We were leaving the Verizon Center after the concert and there was practically nobody out on the sidewalks. I felt comfortable walking the streets in New York at 1am.

Oh my God, I just realized that we're going to California in less than 4 weeks!!! This has been an insane year so far:

  • I turned 16
  • I saw my first Broadway show, The Phantom of the Opera
  • I went to New York for the first time
  • I'm going to my first real concert besides Country
  • I'm going to California

I guess it's true what they say about Sweet 16, lol. Man, I'm pissed. The music works over here at my cousin's house on Xanga but it doesn't work on my computer at home. Oh, well.

EDIT:  I forgot to mention earlier that I went and saw The Devil Wears Prada yesterday night with Brooke. It was soooo good. I don't know if I feel like reading the book but the movie was great. I always liked Anne Hathaway and now I'm a fan of Meryl Streep's too! Plus, I got to oogle over a bunch of designer stuff, lol. AAAH!!! The music's working now!

Here's the Setting: Fashion Magazines Line the Walls

Gah, I'm so over my old journal but I've been missing the updates and just having somewhere to vent my frustrations, so here's my Xanga.

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Today my mom and I went shopping because she had to return some capris. I found this super chic necklace. It's like those circle link chains and they're wrapped in black ribbon, then it ties in the back with a bow. I loved it so much that I put it on immediately! Also got a cute shirt that I have to wait until fall or winter to wear 'cause it's long sleeved.

Lexi got groomed yesterday and she looks sooooo adorable, it's ridiculous. She's a Maltese and for some reason they did her paws like a Bichon. Oh, well. The groomers put a little blue bow on top of her head but it fell out last night. She still has on her blue gingham scarf though. I called her Dorothy because of it. This is the first time they used blue on her and it really shows up against her white fur.

Dorothy's
new dog.

Anyways, they had called us at like 4 something and said she'd be ready by 5:45, so we left a little earlier than that to get there in time. Well, then we got there and she was still being worked on so we had to leave. She was nervous, poor thing. My mom and me walked next door to this little shop and I found a pair of Chanel logo earrings. They're sterling silver with little crystals. Brooke had a pair that she got in New York and I really liked them so I had to snatch these up!

Eww, I really need to clean my room. There's a bunch of papers and CDs all over the computer desk and I have perfumes and jewelry scattered all over my dresser. A good vacuuming is definitely a must, too!

I’m so sick of these cheery yellow walls. I want white ones again. I was flipping through a PBteen catalog the other day and there was this really nice room in there. It had white walls and furniture and then hot pink accents of color. I can't do that because my furniture is like mahogany but the majority of the stuff in my room is hot pink so I guess I could imitate it.

Adore this room.

I've always wanted a solid black room for sleeping in. Like, black walls, carpet, and ceiling with glowing stars on it. It would be sweet. But, then I'd get sick of it and have to have a separate room for hanging out in. Not to mention the fact that it would be depressing, and I don't need that again.

God, I love this layout! It's so perfect. The pearls and sunglasses. There's this nice Chanel layout too that I saw but I liked this one better. It's simple yet elegant. The only thing is that I prefer Sabrina to Kelly, lol.
